It's starting to get cooler, so pants with holes in the knees get patched, instead of being turned into shorts.

Updating!

I'm finally getting around to updating the poor, old, neglected blog to include our "new" addition. I've updated tag line in the header up there ^^ and am itching to update the web address from lollipopkids5 to lollipopkids6. I was toying with the idea of creating a whole new blog, and I may do that some day, but for now I'm taking the "easy" route and am just updating this one. The bonus is it keeps all my old posts in tact. The downside is that I was thinking of switching to a different blogging site that, I believe, will be easier to use. For now I'm leaving the URL as lollipopkids5 so that I don't break links, but some day, maybe soon, I will be making some kind of change. I'll either update this URL or change blogs completely. You've been warned. ;) And here's a picture of Max this spring at 8 months old. :)

Kids Clothes Weekly Challenge

I have a bunch of things I need to sew for Max, let alone the wish lists of the other kids. One hour a day for one week won't be enough, but it's a start! Maybe it can be the beginning of a new habit. I tend to put off beginning things until I have enough time to do them completely. The problem with that is they either never get started or they get put off until the last minute. If I could get in the habit of sewing for one hour a day, I could get so much done.

5 months

I've been trying to get monthly pictures of Max. Here's a glimpse at what I got for his 5 month pictures. He wasn't very happy, so I didn't get a picture of his big, awesome smile. I'll have to try again for that one. :)

Blogging from my phone?

Can it be true? There's an app for Blogger now! I don't know how long it's been around, but since the vast majority of my online time is on my phone while nursing the baby, I sure hope it's a good app!

We welcomed sweet baby Max at the very beginning of September 2011. He's now 5.5 months old. :) (I have no idea where it will insert his picture. This is a trial run.)

Hopefully I'll get this figured out and can post more often. I have lots of projects going on and coming up!

Hanging in there

38 weeks! 4 out of my 5 children were born between weeks 38-39, so I'm hopeful this week will be an exciting one! Of course, this little one could decide to be different and make us wait longer. I got my hair cut off, so that means I'm ready, right?


I've tried to keep my mind off of his arrival(ha! impossible) and knit a little romper for him:


Now he just needs to get here so he can wear it. :c)

A half-birthday party... just a little late

Grace's birthday party is done and only almost 7 months late! ;c) I had morning sickness and felt awful when it was her birthday in January, so she and I decided she would have a half-birthday party. That would have been mid-July, but her best friend was traveling until yesterday, so we had it today. :c) She had a fancy "tea" party. I, admittedly, slacked due to just being tired and uncomfortable, but Grace had a great time and I think the girls enjoyed it.

All the glass items belonged to my two grandmothers. The cupcake stand belongs to the mom that made the cupcakes. The speakers are from the computer that usually is on that table(but was on the floor today) and we had classical piano solos playing in the background.:

After lunch, they watched a movie, then it was time to go home. Whew. It wasn't a ton of effort and was a pretty simple party, but I was standing and walking for most of the morning. My back and feet are sore. Time to relax for a bit.
