A little Christmas fun

We made gingerbread houses... sort of. I had wanted to make the gingerbread, but we ran out of time after a full day of Christmas shopping, so we used graham crackers. It ended up working well and everyone had a great time. When this many people make "gingerbread" houses, you end up with a village. ;c)

Here's our little town:

And from the back:

Katelee made the manger at church during Young Women's this past week. She made Santa and his sleigh with us:

Santa even has a beard, a sack of toys and two tiny reindeer(that look slightly like caterpillars, which we had a good laugh over):

Grace made a house that Katelee decided looked like it came from a Dr. Seuss book. It had a North Pole sign on top, a licorice mailbox in front, and a big, orange doorknob:

Sheri made a house with a small guest house. She left off the roof because she decorated the inside walls and put a person in one:

Spencer made a cute little house with a guy building a snowman outside and a chimney on the roof:

Elijah made his creation which Katelee decided was a sandwich, so she added a little "cherry" on a toothpick as a sandwich decoration:

Kirk made a lake house complete with fishermen, fishing poles, boats and fish. It's been cold here. I wonder what he's dreaming of?

Here is my little house:

My favorite detail is the little snowman made with icing. He's a cute little guy!

Of course the best part is getting to eat the creations. They are now mostly gone. :cD I love Christmas and can't wait to do more fun things with the family!

Hooray for a new post!

Love the 'gingerbread' houses. One of these days my girls need to make a house...or two.

Merry Christmas!
