Monday?

I'm having such a good day it should be a crime. It's Monday, though, so I'm trying to enjoy the greatness of today without waiting for it to become a Monday at any minute.

We're having gorgeous weather. I love autumn so, so much and it feels like it's almost here!!! It's in the high 70's and the humidity went down to 47% from the 88%(LOL) it was this morning. There's a gentle breeze. The air smells fresh and feels amazing. The kids are happy & obedient. Kirk called with time around lunch so we all went to lunch with Daddy. While Elijah napped I set up a "kitchen" area where the kids can pretend to cook in the backyard. They tell me they "mostly make Indian food", as in American Indian. :cD In the past they just made do with whatever they found. I decided it was time they had more to play with, especially after seeing the outdoor play kitchen area on this blog. It was just a couple crates and some pots, but I loved it. :)

I wish every day could be like today.

I already had the top crate from when I sold Pampered Chef in 1998(LOL!!). I got the bottom two from Michael's when I couldn't find any second-hand. I got a couple very beat up pots, some neat wooden plates, a couple baskets and some spoons from the Goodwill for very cheap. I also gave them some wooden spoons I had already. I'll probably add to this from time to time, but for now they love it!

They are already "cooking" something in there. ;c)


Fun!!!

I want to make some chairs like the ones we saw in Ohio. That will be the next step!
